Private Dining at Forss House Hotel
Forss House Hotel used to be owned by Major Radclyffe who was a great adventurer, hunter and falconer of his time and our Private Dining Room is called the Radclyffe Room in his honour. This room was used by the Major as his Smoking Room and we like to think of the tales that were told here by the Major and his friends – and that they are added to still!
Private Parties & Exclusive Use Venue
We are lucky enough to have been given a number of photographs of the Major on his exploits and do ask Anne to see the photograph of his amazing falcon tattoo! The Radclyffe Room seats 14 comfortably and can be booked for any number of diners up to 14, at no extra charge. With its substantial door guarding your privacy, it is perfect for noisy celebrations or for discrete business dinners.
The main Dining Room can also be booked for private lunches or dinners for up to 28 people. Major Radclyffe’s Georgian ancestors will smile down enigmatically from their portraits that hang on the wall.
Our Chef Paul is happy to propose a bespoke menu or if you have favourites, to work with you to devise the menu. Sabine will always be happy to match the wines.
