The North Coast 500 covers a route of just over 500 miles of stunning coastal scenery
Begining and ending at Inverness Castle, it follows the main roads along the coastal edges of the North Highlands, taking in the regions of Wester Ross, Sutherland, Caithness, Easter Ross, the Black Isle and Inverness-Shire.
With ancient castles, sandy beaches and spell-binding heritage, it is not hard to understand why the NC500 has proved to be so popular. The drive can be completed in five days or at a more leisurely pace over several weeks.
Forss House is the perfect base for exploring this route – or for a spot of dinner during the Caithness leg of your adventure.
