Accessible stays
Our River House and Fishing Lodge rooms are in our garden and have direct parking outside. However, the en-suite bathrooms are not fully wheelchair accessible.
Our restaurant and bar are in the main house and are accessed by a small set of stairs, which are too steep to be able to provide ramp access.
Finding the right room for you and ensuring that our property is suitable for your needs is our top priority, so if you have specific accessibility requirements please call us on 01847 861201 or email us at stay@forsshousehotel.co.uk before booking, so that we can ensure that we reserve the most suitable room for you.
Our Disabled Access Policy explains how we strive to provide the best possible experience for all our guests and visitors through a policy of continuous monitoring and improvement of our facilities and training for our staff.
Dog-friendly stays
Some – but not all – of our rooms can accommodate two well-behaved pups.
About your doggy stay:
- Your four-legged friend is welcome in all areas of the hotel, apart from our restaurant.
- You are welcome to dine with your pooch in our conservatory. Please speak to a member of our team to request this.
- We encourage your dog to enjoy our beautiful garden. We simply ask that you clean up after them.
- We love dogs just as much as their owners, so be sure to make the most of our doggy treats scattered around the hotel.
- All dog-friendly stays must be pre-booked so we can make sure you have the best bedroom for your stay. Our room types are spread out across our estate, with some being in the Main House and some in our lovely cottages. Please speak to a member of our team for advice on what rooms can accommodate your pooch before making a booking. Please note that our Main House bedrooms cannot accommodate dogs.
We ask just one thing in return: please consider the comfort of other humans, keeping your hound on a lead where necessary and being sure to calm them if they become a bit excited.
Dog-friendly bedrooms need to be pre-booked; a fee of £20.00 applies for each pup (two maximum).
Family-friendly stays
Families are welcome. Our Radclyffe Rooms and some of our Master Bedrooms are family friendly - with space for cots (provided, with bedding) if required. Please call to book a family rooms: all our bedrooms are individual and we’ll help you find the best one for your family dynamic.
The supplement is £20.00 per additional guest, per night. This includes a Full Scottish Breakfast.
Sustainable stays
Green tourism
We understand the importance of our responsibility for future generations and how the choices we make at The Forss House Hotel, if they're not environmentally driven, could affect this.
As a business, we don't do 'green' by halves; we're evolving our operations to protect our natural environment from any adverse effects our hotel could have.
We believe that making conscious changes, implementing them in every aspect of your stay and actively seeking out more ecological choices is more about the journey than the destination. This is why we're proud to say that we've taken our first steps towards adopting a smart, sustainable outlook from top to bottom, showcasing efficient and eco-friendly decisions.
